Hundreds of Top End heroes and villains assembled in early June to celebrate all things geek at the Territory's first ever Wild North Comic Con.

Stone Monkey comic shop hosted the event, showcasing some of the Territory's finest talent.

The WILD NORTH COMIC CON featured a variety of activities for comic book fans including artists alley, live digital drawing, a cosplay competition and the launch of four new titles by Wild North Comics creators.

Australian Cartoonist Association member Stuart Thornton, attended the event as a featured artist and said "it was such an honour to be invited the first of what I hope will be an annual event. There are so many talented artists in the NT, so it's great to be able to get them all together in one place to show off their work."

Event organiser and Wild North Comics producer, Tim Parish, said "I was excited to see so many Territorians embrace the spirit of the occasion.

"There is such a rich comic and gaming culture in the NT so it's great to be able to celebrate with so many like-minded people and bring the community together.

"The success of the event ensures that this won't be a one off and there will be many more Wild North Comic Cons to come."
